Few riders have stronger fashion credentials than Charlotte Casiraghi. The Monegasque showjumper, a regular on the Longines Global Champions Tour circuit, has long been the face of Gucci and is said to be one of Karl Lagerfeld’s muses.

She won Best Dressed at the Burghley 2015 trot-up and with good reason. The event rider always turns heads, whether wearing a stunning Moloh frock coat over white jeans and boots (as she did at the Burghley trot-up last year), a Bonaparte tailcoat and plaid skirt combo (also by Moloh, worn at Burghley in 2011) or her distinctive pink cross-country colours by Treehouse Sporting Colours.

Silvia Rizzo
Silvia Rizzo has long been pushing the boundaries of traditional dressage competition-wear with original outfit choices, including a custom made chrome helmet, and recently won an award for representing Italian elegance and style in international sport. Not content with being a fashion icon—she even has a style column on psdressage.com—the Milan-born, German-based rider, has now launched her own equestrian clothing range, aptly named Stylish Rider.

Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum
The daughter of a TV director and an actress, Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum has the poise, glamour and elegance of a Hollywood star. The former world-number-one (the only woman to top the showjumping ranks to date) always looks effortlessly chic —and is unsurprisingly a testimonial for one of the world’s most stylish watch manufacturers, Rolex.

Yazmin Pinchen
Yazmin Pinchen is so glamorous that she has drawn the eye of make-up company MAC, who have just begun supporting her because they see her as one of the most stylish female riders on the international show jumping circuit. One of Britain’s rising stars, the twenty-two-year-old rider is also one of the faces of fashionable equestrian clothing designers Cavalleria Toscana.

Dee Hankey
She has trotted up her horses in stilettoes and even worn a daring combo of white shorts and knee-high boots (at Burghley in 2013)—what’s not to love about Dee Hankey’s style? She’s got pluck and she carries every outfit off beautifully.

Erin Williams
At just 17, Erin Williams is one of Britain’s most successful young dressage competitors. She has been on an award-winning team for the past five years—while studying for her GCSEs and now her A-levels. She has a a natural elegance both on and off the saddle.

Edwina Tops-Alexander
Along with representing Australia at the Olympics and winning the Longines Global Champions Tour twice (in 2011 and in 2012) Edwina Tops-Alexander is also a brand ambassador for Gucci, who have designed a range of achingly stylish equestrian clothing for her, and for Swiss watch manufacturers, Jaeger-LeCoultre.

Louise Bell
Style meets grit and determination in Louise Bell. The Oxfordshire-based rider was injured in a terrible car crash in 2002 and told she might not be able to ride again—but went on to take the Working Hunter Champion at HOYS with Out of Sight. A couple of years ago, she decided to take up dressage, alongside showing, and is now competing at advanced level. She loves fashion and always cuts a fine figure in the arena.

Jessica Mendoza
She was part of the team that represented Great Britain at the Europeans, securing a ticket for Rio, nabbed the Longines Rising Star Award at the 2015 FEI Awards, and now has her eyes firmly trained on this year’s Olympics. At just 19, Jessica Mendoza has established herself as Britain’s most successful young rider—while making it to the top of Tatler’s and looking impossibly glamorous all along the way.
